Les Periera
Les Pereira knows a thing or two about triathlon. Since 1998, he has raced 5 Ironman and 26 Half Ironman races. Les has been a swim instructor and lifeguard since 1980 and is also an NCCP Certified Triathlon Competition Coach and a NCCP Certified Swim Coach. Les is passionate about developing triathletes of all skill levels. With experience and training under his belt, Les designs training sessions around building for race season and providing skills and practices geared for triathletes.
Les is a former President of Triathlon Canada, serving for five years with a prior two years on the Board. Les was also the President of TRI BC from 2008 to 2012 and for three years prior, a Coaching Director. As Coaching Director, he helped pilot the NCCP Triathlon Competition Stream and the Community Coaches Program. He has been involved with Pacific Spirit Triathlon Club since 2000 as their Bike Director, Swim Coach and he also served as President in 2004. Les has also been a member of the Steveston Athletic Association since its inception and currently serves as its Head Swim Coach.
